NELSPRUIT - In celebration of the start of spring, the Circle of Light is collaborating with Body, Mind & Soil and Earthdance Mpumalanga to present an awareness day in the Lowveld. This event will be hosted by The Barnyard Theatre at Casterbridge, White River, and takes place on Saturday September 4. The emphasis of the day will fall on raising environmental awareness, sustainable and holistic lifestyles, and the importance of community, by embracing all things mind, body, earth and spirit. The programme commences at 09:30, with talks and films starting at 10:00 inside the theatre, while stalls to browse through, food and refreshments will be available outside. Activities for the day include films, speakers, a drumming workshop and a performance by Phoenix Fire & Drum. The entrance fee is R75 per person to all talks, movies and activities or R20 per person entry to individual talks and movies. In keeping with this event's strong emphasis on our local community, it's worth noting that in the evening The Barnyard Theatre and Casterbridge Music Development Programme will showcase amazing young local talent, including the well-loved Singing Waiters. The previous show was a sell-out! Please refer to www.barnyardlowveld.co.za for bookings and further info.
