Van ons oud-Spes Magte manne sal dalk vir Lt Kol Willy Ward HC onthou. Willy is in Augustus  maand oorlede ‘n dag na hy ‘n hartomleidingsoperasie in die Universitas Hospital in Bloemfontein ondergaan het. Moth Willy het die Honoris Crux in 1976 ontvang  vir sy dapper aksies om Kubaanse tenks te stuit in Angola. Hy is op die plaas Steyn Fourie naby Sedgefield begrawe.  Willy was ‘n Moth by Red Fern Bomgat gewees.

An invitation has been extended to the M.O.T.H. for its members to attend the official inauguration of the SA Defence Force Wall of Remembrance at 09:15 for 09:50 on Sunday, October 25 and to lay a wreath or plant a cross to commemorate the members of the SA Defence Force of every hue and cultural background who died in the performance of duty between May 1961 and the disbandment of the SA Defence Force in April 1994.

Old Bills who want to arrange for their Shellhole’s members to attend need to RSVP the organisers no later than 10 October, as seating is limited. DOB Butch James will have all the details.
